Dirt Pages
Camilla Rose Sullivan [au], 90 min

I stand on a heap of dirt wearing the skeleton of a dress made of wire and safety pins.
Beneath the dirt five women’s magazines are buried. I take them one by one and rip the pages off. I then attach the pages to the dress weaving and stuffing them into the wire.
Once the dress is covered in ripped pages, I kneel down and apply the dirt to my face as if it was makeup. First gently dabbing it on my lips and eyelids, then eventually rubbing it all over my face, hair, neck and arms.
After I am covered in the dirt, I rip the cover from one of the magazines and proceed to attach it to my head with a piece of wire. I finish by standing like this until the audience leaves.
